First step for energy generating concrete façade

At trade show Batimat LafargeHolcim and Heliatek present joint product development

For two years, we are working together with the world largest manufacturer of building material LafargeHolcim. The Swiss company manufactures ultra high-performance concrete panels, so called Ductal® panels. In line with the joint product development a cladding solution has been created which combines the Ductal® panels and our solar films HeliaFilm®. The prefabricated Ductal® panels can be delivered on site with an integrated solar energy-generation system.

This cladding boosts the industrial or commercial building’s ability to generate energy independently and to save some of its annual energy requirement. A first prototype will be introduced at the trade show Batimat in Paris. First pilot projects will follow next year.
